We will cover the grounds for Divorce, how alimony and child support are calculated, how assets and debts are divided up, how the Court decides custody disputes, use of Divorce Mediation to keep legal fees under control, and much more! Low up-front retainers While many divorce attorneys on Staten Island require an up-front retainer of between $5,000 and $15,000 on all divorce cases, we only require an up-front retainer of just $3,000 on any case that we accept which is not yet in litigation! Yes, even if you and your spouse have a business, or millions of dollars in assets, the initial retainer is only $3,000, provided the case is not yet in litigation! We believe that most cases can be settled quickly and inexpensively by negotiation, rather than litigation! Obviously, if Court litigation is necessary, the initial retainer will be higher. We will give you a definite retainer quote at the initial consultation so there will be no surprises! A Message to the Client about our Divorce Practice When you retain us as your attorney, we will discuss the law with you, and how it relates to your situation. We will listen to you and we will develop realistic expectations and a plan of action. We believe that negotiation is frequently the most prompt and efficient means of reaching your goal. Mr. Leininger is a native New Yorker who graduated from Regis High School, St. Francis College and Fordham Law School. He was admitted to the New York Bar in 1975, and was subsequently admitted to the Bars of New Jersey and Florida.
